Farmstand Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Farmstand Coordinator represents the Carnation Farms’ brand and supports Carnation Farms’ mission by leading the sales of Farmstand products to all external customers and managing the daily operations of the Carnation Farms’ Farmstand. S/he ensures that guest experience is on brand at all times. The Farmstand Coordinator works in a full-time capacity and reports to the Director of Strategy and Sales. S/he is energetic, principled, ethics-driven, and passionately invested in the mission of Carnation Farms.

Provides Direction to: Part-time Farmstand employees

    Guest and Partner Experience
    • Own the Farmstand guest experience and customer feedback and responses.

    • Ensure that all Farmstand customers are provided with superior customer service
    • Ensure that the Farmstand meets all health and safety requirements at all times.
    • Ensure that the Farmstand Visual Presentation Standards are adhered to:
       Merchandised to Plan
       Marketing to Plan
       Replenished to Plan
       Clean, Neat, Organized
    • Track customer responses and provide weekly feedback recaps to the Director of Strategy and Sales
    • Maintain relationships with direct buyers and distributors
    • Track farm product revenue targets and sales, including Farmstand-specific data
  •  Carnation Farms Ag Distribution Coordination
    • Coordinate product orders in partnership with the Ag Production Team and 3rd party vendors
    • Maintain established process to ensure consistency in order placement and fulfillment
    • Manage Farmstand inventory
    • Maintain relationships with designated brand-relevant vendors
    • Execute merchandising plans and ensure that all products are properly and attractively displayed
    • Track inventory and ensure that products are ordered in a timely manner
    • Manage controllable expenses including payroll and inventory loss
    • Supervise Farmstand employees, plan and prepare work schedules, and set performance expectations, train for skills needed
    • Oversee cash handling and reporting
    • Create and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures that include record keeping, cleaning and security
    • Other related duties as assigned
    • Work hours may include nights, weekends and holidays

Ideal Skills, Experience and Education:
• 1-3 years retail management experience and degree in business, management, retailing, or related fields preferred; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Degree in business, management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, liberal arts, or related field preferred
• Customer-oriented, positive attitude and energy
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organization, prioritization, and planning skills
• Solid problem solving skills and decisiveness
• Proven ability to hire, train, develop, motivate, guide and review, and maintain staff
• Ability to handle stressful and time-pressure situations
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
• Fluent computer skills- emails, word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, experience with Square a plus

• Valid driver’s license with clean record
