Whether you have a small farm, homestead, or have backyard chickens, you will learn how to successfully raise and process your own meat chickens. This hands-on workshop includes slaughtering, scalding, plucking, gutting/cleaning, and how to properly package your meat to retain freshness. Every attendee will leave with one fully processed bird.
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Cost is $175 per person.
Classes are hosted at the Carnation Farms Poultry Processing Shed on the Farm at Carnation Farms, 28901 NE Carnation Farm Road, Carnation, WA, 98014
Spaces are limited. We can host 5 people per workshop at this time..
