Event Details
Guest chef, Mitch Mayers, the executive chef of the award-winning Sawyer restaurant in Ballard, is planning a creative, craveable menu. This multi-course dinner will feature just-picked farm ingredients and will be paired with wines from award-winning DeLille Cellars from Woodinville. Select bottles from these DeLille wine pairings will be available for purchase at dinner.
Chef Mayers is planning a delicious menu:
Starters:
Deviled Eggs – salmon mousseline, cucumbers, shiso
Chicken Salad Steam Bun – celery, walnuts, pickled onions
Family Style:
Watermelon Radish Salad – tahini yogurt, black garlic vinaigrette, winter citrus, pickled watermelon rind, crispy quinoa
Winter Vegetable Yellow Curry – ember-roasted pineapple, seasoned rice, leeks
Grilled Bavette Steak – sour cream and chive potatoes, maitake mushrooms, crispy onions, red wine demi
Dessert:
Pumpkin Sticky Toffee Cake – whipped crème fraiche, apples, pepita granola
Mitch Mayers is the owner and Executive Chef of the award winning Sawyer in Ballard. A Washington state native, Mitch was named one of Zagat’s 2018 “Eight Under the Radar Chefs to Know in Seattle”. The two-time Cochon555 Seattle winner draws from his extensive culinary experience, both formal and casual, to create inspired, light-hearted and tasty dishes. Mitch graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and Cornell’s Hotel School, interned at the Herbfarm, and went on to work for Hillstone Restaurant Group which landed him in Denver for several years. He moved back home to Seattle in 2014 and worked his way up the ranks at Lark becoming John Sundstrom’s chef de cuisine. In 2019 Sawyer was nominated by the James Beard Foundation as one of the Best New Restaurants in the country. Mitch and Sawyer have been featured in publications locally and across the country.

- The outdoor garden dining area is covered and has some heating.
- The garden is open for self guided walking tours.
