It is with heavy hearts that we
have to announce the cancellation of our 2020 summer programs.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the
precautions necessary to flatten the curve and keep our community safe have
created uncertainty around whether we can responsibly run summer camps for kids
and Rooted this year. Along with this
uncertainty, there is tremendous stress on the economy and the funding for some
of our programs is suffering as a result. This is why we have decided to cancel
these programs and shift our entire focus to things that are more in our control.
We will still be farming and alongside vegetables, livestock and grain, we will continue to grow new farmers through our Farmers-in-Training program.
We understand that these are unsettling times, so we will do our best to keep providing a safe space for the community to purchase locally-grown food through our Farmstand. Our produce will also be available through our Community Supported Agriculture program. We hope this situation will be under control by the fall so that we can resume our educational events if it is deemed safe to do so. Please stay tuned and thank you for your continued support.
Our Spring Break Camp is the perfect time to be on the farm because the growing season is just starting for the year. Campers will spend each fun-filled day of this week outside on the farm, and in our indoor/outdoor kitchen spaces.
